The company focused on the process of bonding urethane to metal, hence the name "Uremet." In the early years the company provided solutions for the most difficult cast urethanes and sold into the aerospace, electronics, food processing, mining, oil and gas, transportation and wastewater markets. Products included wing fairings, seismic isolators, gears, rollers, pulleys, down hole oil well parts and a multitude of other parts.
In 1993, the company began manufacturing roller coaster wheels for amusement parks and ride manufacturers. Today Uremet reconditions worn wheels and manufactures new replacement wheels for nearly 300 rides at 70 amusement parks and for 12 ride manufacturers.
The future of Uremet is focused primarily on the design and manufacturing of amusement wheels. All research and development, sales, marketing and manufacturing efforts are geared towards the amusement park industry.
